Ok so this is my first blog! We moved to this house in 2005 one month after my youngest daughter was born. I have always had a love for Gardening, and it started here when i seperated the iris bed in the fron of the house. It looked choked, and the neighbors said it hasnt bloomed in years. So I go for it, with absolutly no idea what im doing, and well I'm still waiting for them to fully bloom lol. I also planted some tulips in the bed. They did beautifuly (thank the gods).

The realtor that we had gave me 2 hydrangeas as a house warming gift, and they r doing well. :) But......my veggie garden leaves something to be desired. We tilled up the earth and found nothing but red clay!! Ugh! So after adding peat, top soil, manure, and some mushroom compost, we tried to grow a few veggies. Whamp!! No good.

The beans did ok but not as good as they should have. The tomatoes were tiny, and the corn....hahaha never got above 2 inch ears. Seems that peppers like the spot. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
