Fun times with Annuals this Spring

Hi folks. I'm so excited that Spring is here!

So on my list of favorite Annuals are: Petunias, Morning glories, Nasturtiums and Cosmos.
Petunias are such wonderful little trumpet like flowers and I usually grow the pinks and whites.
I always plant the blue morning glories as well as the moonflower vines. Every winter I look forward to the summer nights with my moonflower blooms.
And Nasturtiums are just so easy and what a bang for the buck. I plant the clumping varieties in hanging baskets.

    Happy Spring!

I haven't planted Cosmos in a while but saw them in a sidewalk flourist's bucket the other day. Remembered how pretty they are. I like petunias a bit more than nasturtiums since they fill out a basket so much nicer.

Do you have trouble getting moonflowers to start from seed?

Yeah, moonflowers are tricky to get going because they have such tough seeds. nicking them with a knife sometimes works but I've had them just sit there and never come up.
