    So quiet here at IHG, so more photos

    Feels like a ghost town here at IHG. People are busy I'm sure and gardening for us in the northern hemisphere is winding down. I do notice that many people from the southern hemisphere find the site every now and then. So hello to you guys and happy Spring!

    Well my focus during the cool months (rarely really cold here in Seattle) is my greenhouse. I try to keep tropical stuff going to cheer me up during the gloom. I experiment with propagation and can't get enough of my brugmansia flowers. I love them! Here's a few photos:

    This was a cutting I made about 6 weeks ago.

    Here is is now...They root so easily, but for the first month, no roots.

    Here's a cutting in potting soil. This one started out in seed starter mix as opposed to water and did much better. This one rooted in only about 3-4 weeks. Go with the soilless seed starter mix.

     

    And here is my blooming plant that I take cuttings from. Notice the elephant ears and the epiphyllums in the photo.
