Looks like it could be ornithogalum. Very similar to some garden varieties. Can't tell if there are 5 or 6 petals on the bloom, ornithogalum generally have 6 petals if my memory is correct.

There are 6 petals. However, when I looked up ornithogalum, none seemed to match this flower. I couldn't find any that matched the leaves, buds or inside of this flower. I went page by page through my a-z encyclopedia and couldn't find anything that ressembled it either. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......................?

I've been looking at the flower and well could it be a Spiderwort????????? Maybe???? I can't see the leaves too good, but thought I'd take a guess at it :)......

A spiderwort is called commelina and unfortunately this isn't it. Don't stop trying though. That's what makes this so fun and challenging. Throw out another idea and we'll check it out as well. :)

It looks to me like an Ixia? A member of the bulb family. That is what we call them in Australia .

I don't think this is Ixia either. The flowers are still not quite a match. Also the flowers ixia seem to grow on a stalk where these ones are individual. The leaves that I saw in picures of ixia don't seem to match either. I am soooooooooooo stumped!

Wow. You idea made me look on the picture one more time. It totally looks like pepper to me. I might be wrong, but I think we are getting closer.

I think I've got it thanks to your ideas. How about Capsicum annuum-Ancho flower(poblano)? Does anyone think they can verify
this and hopefully we'll get this identified. By the way great idea turning to veggies. I never would have thought of that. Kind of silly of me eh, considering the vegetables come from the flowers?
