How about Solandra maxima?
Em in CA on 4/29/2008 9:08:31 PM
This plant doesn't have the strioing on the inside like Solandra maxima. The leaves on this plant are much smoother as well. Also Solandra maxima is of the lily family and I don't believe this is.

What do y'all think about Yellow Elder "Tecoma stans"??
Nicole on 4/30/2008 12:25:11 PM
Very close but the tubes on Yellow Elder seem to be wider and the petals seem to be a bit flimsier. I'm still stiking with Allamanda but that flower was intensely close. Excellent try.

It sure looks like an Allamanda to me.

I'm still sticking with Allamanda. I searched the name(s) you gave above and it didn't recognize any of them. Maybe you can give us a common name to search. But I still think we have identified it.:)

P.S. This has nothing to do with identifing this plant. What I'm hoping you folks will do is indulge me and check out my latest blog. I'm hoping you'll find it interesting. (Sheepish Grin)
