Note: This vine is growing in a courtyard and we can't identify it. The seedpods look almost like small eggplants. they have open and the interior contains seeds on what looks like a small corncob. the seedpods are large, about seven inches long. Can anyone identify it?? Thank you!

if it is akebia, it will have a maroon/chocolate flower with sticky stamens, whats the flower like? p
