i can't see the photo very well, but i think that is an Allium giganteum.

Careful! there are over 800 species of alium. Not to be a stick in the mud but...it is hard to see but they do not look THAT giant.

I have to agree with Anonymous(above me). Especially if you compare it with the tulip that's with it. Do that comparison for size relation and you should know if it is giant or not. Nice, FAST solve!
