Commonly known as Himalayan Balsam in the UK. Usuallly found near rivers and is very invasive

This is called Fireweed in Yukon Territory..as the name implies it invades burned areas of forests...grows near water often..
grows nearly anywhere..along roads.. etc..

yes it is a penstemon, not sure exactly which one? big family, many hybrids, try P. 'Sour Grapes, how high is it growing?

This is definitely Penstemon and definitely not fire weed. I can see how it could be mistaken for fire weed though. if anyone would like to see fire weed and see the similarity go to the following URL
