cosmos

I don't think it is. The leaf is too heavy for cosmos which has a fine feathery leaf. Could it be a poppy? You will know by the seed pod. Julie

flower center looks like cosmos and there are many many kinds but maybe a coreopsis?

I vote cosmos based on flower and also from the unopened flower.

lacking a button kind of center, I don't think its likely a cosmos, anenome or coreopsis(my first guess too) I think it could be a marigold, tho not sure it is the 'lemon gem'

i beleive it is a hybiscus.. they are usually in red but also in different colors

this is a cosmos, once the flowers die spread around pollens and new plants grow quickly, a very easily managed plant. comes in violet pink white and yellow there are a few double coloured ones as well

People who say cosmos are right on. Unopened flower and flower center are dead giveaway. Lemon gem marigold is tiny, although the picture on the website cited is very similar, the plant and flower is tiny. Does not have hibiscus leaves or stamen. Cosmos for sure.
ok, next picture, this was a good one!
