Okay, you'll get my two cents.
It is a Portulaca Purslane, the growers do not always grow it year to year as the seed is not always as reliable as the thin leaf variety, it is now being use more in combination pots offered by big retailers.

I add cutting to my houseplants every winter to ensure I always have it for my summer pots. All I do is break off pieces and stick in a pot of moist soil. I have use pieces from the same plant for about 7 years.

So, lisa, it'll root right in the dirt? That's great because I have a huge pot of them and it would be great to have them indoors too. When do you do this and can you pit them back out next year?

It is a cultivated variety of Portulaca oleracea commonly known as Purslane. You can see the botanical name on the tag in the picture. The Sakata Seed Corporation has a variety called Summer Joy Rose which is what you might have. The Ball Horticultural Company also has a series of P. orleracea called "Rio" which I have found in my area nurseries in the last few years. The flowers in the Rio series that I have seen are in apricot, orange, rose, scarlet, white and yellow. They are really beautiful and can stand the heat.

We don't have a next plant to identify! If you've been saving one, go ahead and upload it. I guess things come in waves here on the site.

Am I just blind? I don't see the botanical name on the tag in the picture.

Reynolds had noted that the tag was still in the pot in the picture so I just enlarged the image on my screen. The tag is in the upper right hand corner and if you squint you can almost make out Portulaca oleracea. It is interesting to see what plant hybridizers can do. Non hybridized common Portulaca oleracea, otherwise known as Purslane is a "weed" to some and edilble salad green to others.
