    I think you have a couple choices. First, you can just throw the things away and start over in the Spring with new plants. Fuchsia's really need to stay watered b/c those darn aphids and mites attack them so easily as you've noticed. But the second option is to overwinter them in like a greenhouse and prune them back to old wood. With less ...

  • Fuchsia and aphids

    I don't seem to have much luck with fuchsias.Maybe because I let my hanging basket fuchsias dry out and it stresses the plant. But my plants always look terrible because of aphids. My question for the community is, is it worth trying to save an infested fuchsia or should I just throw it out? Thanks in advance

  • My 2 cents of attracting hummingbirds

    I grow several fuchsia that bloom all spring and summer. Right next to a couple of them I hung a hummingbird feeder and they LOVE IT! It's on the east side of the house and gets the morning sun. They seem to visit late in the mornings.
