I'll admit that I haven't ever composted before. It seems simple enough and I would love to try it. I'm kind of fascinated by earthworms and love to find them while digging around in beds. I would be very interested in hearing about a composting techinique for a small area. Photos of your composting contraption would be much appreciated. Patrick

I've used the ComposTumbler and it works really great. The crank is easy to turn. We mainly put kitchen scraps and soft yard waste. We had a separate bin on the ground for woody yard waste and otherstuff that takes awhile to breakdown (like pine needles). www.compostumbler.com Hope this helps!

Anyone out there do a lot of composting? I would also like to know what people think of drum composters. I've only used the old homemade open ended box type.
