Here's a nice close up! The flowers eventually opened in May and lasted a few weeks. I think I have some photos of those somewhere.

This is probably my favorite plant in the garden. These are similar to Christmas cactus and other cacti, but they get big and wirey. I took a clipping last year from the conservatory in my neighborhood and this year I already had a plant full of amazing flowers. Here you can see the buds starting
