Perennials for poor soil

Some plants just seem to require poor soils to remain happy. These plants prefer a quick draining nutrient poor soil that can never become waterlogged. The thing to remember is that the soil must retain some amount of moisture but not dry out completely for long periods of time. By amending the soil with plenty of sand and grit you'll give these plants what they need.
